Welcome parents, coaches, players and referees to Sunflower Soccer Association.
We hope the soccer experience
is rewarding to you and your child. SSA is a volunteer-run non-profit organization.
In fact, with the exception of the director, an assistant and
the referees, everyone you see helping your child is a volunteer. We say
this to show the level of commitment these people have at the fields and in
the boardroom in making your soccer experiences positive. We hope this also
encourages other parents to volunteer in helping with this experience as we
grow to over 2,500 registered soccer players. Click here for a map of the Sunflower Soccer Complex The physical address is: 4829 NW 17th St. 66618 Please do not send regular mail to this address, use the PO Box

Sunflower Soccer Summer Camp Sunflower Soccer in association with Tim Collins and the Washburn University Women's Soccer Team will host camp at the SSA complex the first 3 weeks of June. Please see the registration form for more details. HOW DO WE KNOW IF WE PLAY WHEN THE WEATHER IS BAD? Weather Issues: If you are wondering if games have been cancelled or delayed due to weather, please call the weather information line at 233-7099. If the weather is questionable, please check the hotline prior to leaving for the fields. We do attempt to update the system as soon as a decision is made! Competitive Team Paperwork There appears to be a lot of confusion as to what forms need to be completed and turned in for competitive teams to get their player cards as well as the cost for Sunflower to provide this service. All teams need to turn in a completed Competitive Roster Form, a Competitive Player Registration Form for each player, a Coaches Registration Form for each adult listed on the roster. Each adult that is listed on the roster also needs to complete a Disclosure Statement which is available on the KYSA association website. Please see the information on Coach Background Check listed below for instructions on how to complete this form. Registration fees are as
follows: $13.00 per player, $16.00 per coach/adult on the roster and a
$25.00 team registration fee. Please note that this does NOT
include league fees. COACH BACKGROUND CHECKS If you
plan to coach for the Spring 2008 season you will need to have a background
check. Each year Kansas Youth Soccer Association requires all adults
listed on a team roster to complete this process. To begin the
background check process, please go to www.ksysa.org. Under the Main Menu on the left side of the
page click on Risk Management and then on Disclosure Form. Complete
the form and hit submit at the bottom of the form. Refund Information Please be advised that our refund policy is as follows: Payments will be returned to any applicant that cannot be placed on a team because the divisions were filled. Payments, except for a $15.00 administrative fee, will be returned to any paid applicant placed on a team that does not wish to play during the season, if the parent requests the reimbursement in writing and the written notification is received prior to the first Saturday of scheduled games. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE SEASON STARTS. Please complete the Request for Refund/Reimbursement form and mail it to the Sunflower Soccer Office. We will process your refund as soon as possible.
Please click here for the US Youth Soccer Introduction to Coaching Youth Soccer. This is a great resource for the new and not so new coach in the U5 through U10 age divisions. COMPETITIVE TEAM MAX ROSTER
